Evans and White is Relocating

Posted On November 4, 2014

For 5 years now Evans and White have run out of 2 sites – Stourbridge and Kingswinford.

Recently an adjoining unit at Kingswinford became available so we decided to cease the opportunity and look to relocate all of Stourbridge to Kingswinford. We have already undertaken some initial building work that was required and we are in the process of applying for a gas meter so we can install some heaters.

Our aim is to have all of the machines relocated by the Spring of 2015.

Evans & White Complete 4 Roll Driven Breaker

Posted On October 16, 2014

After a 5 month project to develop a 4 Roll Driven Breaker Evans & White installed it in just 2 weeks. The project arose from two serious break downs on the clients leveller which caused their line to be down for a total of 13 weeks, costing tens of thousands of pounds of lost production per day.

After some investigation it was decided that the breakdowns had been due to the higher yield strength of material used in today’s manufacture causing the leveller to work beyond its maximum capacity.

The solution was to introduce a pre flattening operation prior to the leveller. It would be speed matched to the leveller, bringing it back to its original specification of a 12.5mm leveller.
